About Our Chapter
The Palm Beach County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, 501(c)(3) non-profit, environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our oceans, waves, and beaches, for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education.
Founded in 1997 , the Palm Beach County Chapter is only one of 60 chapters located along the East, West, Gulf, Hawaiian, and Puerto Rican coasts.
Mission
"Our mission is the protection and enjoyment of oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network."
History
The Palm Beach County Chapter of Surfrider Foundation has a member-elected executive committee of volunteers. This executive committee appoints additional volunteers to participate on special projects. Executive committee members are elected annually.
CEO Jim Moriarty delivers a 15 minute presentation that walks through Surfrider Foundation's new Strategic Plan. In this video he covers all elements of the plan and frames who Surfrider is, what we are focused on, how we measure success and how we will amplify our positive impact.
