About Our Chapter
The Surfrider Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental organization, operates through a network of grassroots chapters who take volunteer action to protect our ocean, waves and beaches through campaign, program and educational initiatives in their communities.
Founded in 1997, the Palm Beach County Chapter is one of eleven chapters in Florida with other chapters located in 15 countries around the world.
"Our mission is the protection and enjoyment of oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network."
The Palm Beach County Chapter of Surfrider Foundation has a member-elected executive committee of volunteers. This executive committee appoints additional volunteers to standing committees and also to participate on special projects. Executive committee members are elected annually.
