As a result of Surfrider Foundation efforts and other supporters, the US Army Corps of Engineers and Palm Beach County withdrew the initial permit request to construct a series of 11 breakwaters off the coast of Singer Island. Anticipating a revised application, Surfrider Foundation will continue to defend its "No Breakwaters" position and mission of protecting our oceans, waves and beaches for all people through conservation, activism, research and education.
