On Thursday, June 21 surfers from across
the globe will unite to celebrate International Surfing Day.
The annual observance, now in its third year, was established to
inspire waveriders everywhere to take a day to share and
acknowledge their mutual love of surfing and our beach and ocean
environments.
As in previous years, the Surfrider Foundation is hosting beach
clean-ups and other events in locations throughout the world.
Here's what's happening in Palm Beach County:
When: 6/21/07, from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm
Where: Lake Worth Pier
What: Beach Clean-Up, Paddle-Out, Food, Refreshments,

Calling for volunteers to help map the beaches. It only takes
about 10 minutes a beach and will help us establish a baseline
to help fight the unnecessary dredge and
fill projects that are becoming more frequent.
